ViperBIOGRAPHY Viper (1985-1992): a Thrash Metal band from Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, Germany. T he German act Viper formed in East Germany in 1984 but didn't adopt the name and incorporate properly as a band until August 1985. Under the membership Bernd Abelmann (vocals/guitars), Jens Katterwe (guitars), Olaf Heilmann (bass) and Frank Jedrzy (drums), Viper would emerge with their one-and-only album, Bringers of Disaster in 1991. In August 1992 the band changed their name to Screamz for legal reasons.
