BeefeaterBIOGRAPHYBeefeater (1984-1987): a Punk band from Washington, District of Columbia, USA. N ot sure if they named themselves after the brand of gin or not, but Beefeater emerged out of hardcore punk home Washington, D.C. to merge dub, jazz, metal and hardcore punk rock to break with 'Dischord' tradition to release two albums, Plays For Lovers (1985) and House Burning Down (1987) under the membership of Tomas Squip Jones (ex-Red C; vocals), Fred Smith (guitar), Dug E. Bird (Real Name: Dug E. Birdzell; ex-Underground Soldier; bass) and Bruce Taylor (ex-Clear Vision/ex-Hate From Ignorance/ex-Subtle Oppression; drums) before they split because of the lack of interested taken in them Bird and Jones went on to form Fidelity Jones.
