Alien Sex FiendBIOGRAPHYAlien Sex Fiend (1982-present): a Gothic band from London, UK. F ounded by Nik Wade (vocals/bass), a former Demon Preachers member who enlisted the help of his wife Christine Wade (a.k.a. Mrs. Fiend; synthesizers). Under their Demon Preachers configuration they had released several singles, but in 1982 they opened shop again, this time under the moniker Alien Sex Fiend and they recruited the services of David James (a.k.a. Yaxi Highrizer; guitar) and Johnny 'Ha Ha' Freshwater (drums). They would then establish residency at the famous London punk club the 'Batcave' where they performed a kind of gothic cabaret Alice Cooper styled show complete with ghoulish make up and also finished the live demo cassette The Lewd, The Mad, The Ugly & Old Nik. After getting a deal with the 'Cheery Red' subsidiary 'Anagram', they released two singles Ignore The Machine and Lips Can't Go to become the highlights on their debut album Whose Been Sleeping In My Brain (1983) that was released shortly later. As a duo once again the husband and wife team would return to terrorize the unsuspecting fans with Another Planet (1988), Too Much Acid? (a live set), Curse (1990) and the CD-ROM game set Inferno (1994) by which time the group had begun the transformation into a techno. band to the dislike of many of their fans. Nocturnal Emissions (1997) would be the first release on their own '13th Moon' record label that was followed up with the live compilation album, Flashbacks! (Live 1995-98) (1998). Information Overload (2004), Death Trip (2010) and Possessed (2018) followed. Read Less... ⏫
