Nightrage

his Greek act was formed by guitarist and vocalist Marios Iliopoulos after the break-up of Exhumation. He took the name Nightrage from a song on their final album, Traumaticon. Soon after forming, he relocated to Gothenburg, Sweden, and reformed the band with a new line-up.

Forming a new line-up, Nightrage would release Sweet Vengeance in 2003 under the membership of Tomas Lindberg (R.I.P. 2025 of Adenoid cystic carcinoma; ex-At The Gates/ex-The Crown/ex-The Great Deceiver/ex-Lock Up/ex-The Lurking Fear; vocals), Marios Iliopoulos (guitars/songwriting/lyrics), Gus G. (Real Name: Konstantinos Karamitroudis; guitars) and Brice Leclercq (ex-Dissection; bass).

The sophomore effort, Descent into Chaos (2005) saw Henric Carlsson take bass, and Fotis Benardo take on the drums.

Another change would occur for A New Disease Is Born (2007) with Jimmie Strimell on vocals for tracks 5 & 11), and songwriting for tracks 1, 2, 5, 7), as well as Alexander Svenningson taking drums.

Iliopoulos would have an entire membership change for Wearing a Martyr's Crown in 2009, and Insidious in 20211, with Olof Mörck (guitars/songwriting), Anders Hammer (bass), Jo Nunez (drums) and Antony Hämäläinen (vocals/lyrics).
