ot to be confused with the band of the same name from Munich this was one of the many one-and-done bands from the 80s. This German group had a single release in the form of the self-titled Hammerschmitt in 1985 under the membership of Hans-Dieter Wolf (bass), Ralf Deutscher (drums), Diethard Schmitt (guitars), Andreas Püschel (guitars) and Edu Keller (vocals), and broke up sometime soon after leaving behind only a posthumous compilation in 2009 titled Airborn.
