F olding sometime around 2010, South Africa's Pledge Defiance would debut with The Halls of Malevolence (EP; 2007). They would follow it up with Creophagous in 2008, the name of their former band, under the leadership of Nic Venter (drums), Grant Lazenby (guitars), Chase Drewett (bass) and Andrew ''Drew'' Brecher (R.I.P. 2008; vocals/guitars: track 7).
