Lard

ne of several Ministry side projects, Lard features Dead Kennedys vocalist Jello Biafra. Along with Ministry's Allen Jourgensen (guitars) and Paul Barker (bass), along with Jeff Ward (RIP: March 19, 1993 of suicide, age 30; drums) Lard would debut with The Power of Lard (1989). The second effort, The Last Temptation of Reid, showed the band sharpening its style to be not too far removed from mid-period Ministry, with Biafra's hardcore vocals and politically-charged lyrics at the forefront.

The death of Ward caused the first, and only line-up change with William Rieflin stepping in for Pure Chewing Satisfaction (1997) and the 70's Rock Must Die EP (2000). The project isn't officially done though it seems increasingly unlikely that new material is forthcoming so Diskery has listed it as defunct until told otherwise.
