Amboog-a-LardBIOGRAPHYAmboog-a-Lard (1987-1996): a Progressive Metal band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. T he oddly-named Amboog-A-Lard was founded in Florida in the late eighties by the trio of Dan Fontana (vocals/guitars), Barry Alpert (bass), and George Kokkoris (drums). They never hit the big time with either of their albums, A New Hope (1993) featuring Dan Fontana (vocals/guitars), Jeordie White (bass/vocals (backing)), Jon Somerlade (drums/percussion) and Chad Steinhart (keyboards/samples) or the posthumous compilation 1990-1991 Demos (2004). With White's move to Marilyn Manson where he became known as Twiggy Ramirez the sole remaining founding member Fontana put an end to the group in 1996. ** This article is also available on our official app.
