F resh off the retirement of Slayer, founding guitarist Kerry King (who has also performed with Megadeth on live occasions in the past) would launch his own project, recruiting in several thrash metal veterans to help out in the form of Kyle Sanders (bass), Paul Bostaph (Impellitteri/ex-Slayer/Hail!/ex-Exodus/ex-Forbidden/ex-From Hell/ex-Testament/ex-Tim Ripper Owens (live)/ex-Legacy (live)/ex-BlackGates/ex-Systematic/ex-Truth About Seafood; drums), Phil Demmel (ex-Torque/BPMD/ex-Machine Head/ex-Vio-lence/ex-Lamb of God (live)/ex-Overkill (live)/ex-Slayer (live)/ex-Testament (live)/ex-Dublin Death Patrol/ex-Metal Warrior/ex-Technocracy; guitars) and Mark Osegueda (vocals). To no one's surprise, the debut album, href="/diskery.php?APP=ALBUMS&ALBUMID=23063">From Hell I Rise (2024) carries on with the Slayer blueprint demonstrated on their last few albums, with Death Angel's Mark Osegueda sometimes sounding vaguely like Tom Araya.
