MaleficeBIOGRAPHYMalefice (2003-2017): a Thrash Metal band from Reading, UK. T he original members consisted of university friends Dale Butler (vocals), Alex Vuskans (guitars), Craig Thomas (drums) and Craig Fenner (bass). Their first major break was to open a four band bill charity gig at the Rivermead Centre in Reading. Through subsequent constant touring around Reading and London, they managed to get a distribution deal for their first EP Relentless (2006) through the 'Hangman's Joke' label. Signing to 'Anticulture Records' in 2007, for their debut album, Entities (2007) featuring Tom Hynes on bass, and Ben Symons on guitars followed; the album production occurring at Thomas' parents home in South Wales. Signing to 'Metal Blade Records' the follow-up, Dawn of Reprisal (2009) followed, with Awaken the Tides (2011) coming almost two years later featuring Chris Allan-Whyte on drums. In March 2010 the band was featured on the BBC TV show "The Bubble" as part of a spoof news report. In 2012 the band recorded a song with Everton goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann for the Jägermeister UK "Ice Cold Session", titled Omega. The single was released on 1 February 2012. Now on the 'Transcend Music' label, Five (2013) followed featuring newest member, Andrew Wilson on guitars. But after the Gravitas EP in 2014 featuring James Pearly Cook on drums, the band struggled to no avail and called it quits in Read All... ⏬ 2017 in order to pursue solo careers.
