ScaldBIOGRAPHYScald (1993-present): a Metalcore band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. D .I.Y. Hardcore metal band Scald arrived in 1993, from the festering ashes of various grindcore punk/crust metal units including T.V.P. (their former name previous 1991-1993) and Bleeding Rectum, with the primary personnel list of, Paul 'Big Balls' McCorry (bass), Pete Dempsey (guitars/vocals) and Paul 'Paulrus' McCarroll (drums) to release the Rancid Fuckhole demo (1994). From the early black-noise of their primitive first-born, Scald would evolve into a sharper more metallic doom punk rock mesh of cold, piercing "thrashery" in the form of the Born With Teeth demo (1997) featuring new member of Mick Tierney (guitar). Dempsey took over bass along with his vocal duties, and McCorry gone for the Nematoid Specimen Parts I-IV & Nematoid Specimen Parts V-IIX demos in 1999 and 2000 respectively. But positive responses were received for the Headworm album, their commercial debut, in 2003. Vermiculatus (2006) contained only one 47 minute 30 second self-titled instrumental track. Fluke (2007) followed.
