Metal MilitiaBIOGRAPHYMetal Militia (1999-2003): a Thrash Metal band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. F ort Lauderdale, Florida based Metal Militia (the name inspired by the Metallica song of the same name) formed in 1999 to be dubbed as the "Next Generation of Metal" by magazines from around the world. Known for their special blend of European styled thrash metal mixed with American hardcore punk, Metal Militia was catapulted onto the national music scene in 2003 with their debut CD Perpetual State Of Aggression, featuring the membership of Paolo Gregoletto (bass/vocals), Nick Phares (drums), Mike Albert (guitars) and Chris Reiser (guitars (lead)), earning the band two Grammy considerations in the Best Metal Performance and Best rock Album categories. The band known for its hard work ethic had spent two years touring the South East through the Midwest USA with stops at Milwaukee Metal Fest and March Metal Meltdown V finding themselves as a supporting act for Sworn Enemy, Spineshank, 40 Below Summer and showcasing their music at the 2003 Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Rounding out the new band line-up was 2002 Slayer drum finalist Jason Mooney, Chris Manning (guitar) and George Buritica (guitar/backing vocals), the list was augmented Paolo Gregoletto (vocals/bass) for their four song EP that followed. The band dissappeared sometime on or near 2003.
