Coda

Biography

Coda (1997-present): a Hard Rock band from Armagh, Northern Ireland, UK.

L

urgan Co. Armagh, North Ireland is the home of Coda, and founded by Andy McGibbon (vocals/guitar) in December of 1997. They were influenced by the likes of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Pink Floyd. Daren Campbell would soon after join on bass and, after an extensive search, Gavin O'Carroll was found to play drums. This line-up would remain unchanged for some time until Declan Feenan joined in July 1999, providing guitar, vocals and song writing skills. Although Coda's career has thus far been short, they have made some achievements including regular airplay on BBC Radio's Ulster's Across The Line and the Dave Fanning show for a 2FM interview in January 2000. Later that same year Coda released their independently produced Lead Follow debut. 'Virgin', 'Zepter Music' and 'Emperor Multimedia' have courted them but no contract has been achieved (at time of publishing).
