Burst (1997-2004): a Rock band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I

n May of 1997 Luke Martin (vocals), Simon Vallee (guitar/backing vocals), Alex Martin (bass) and Joe Fiorino (drums) got together and formed a band in Toronto, Canada called Burst. Their music, based strongly on the 1990s "Alternative Rock" movement, gained artistic respect in their local area. Their premier release, Return To Vino Island (1999), was a radio savvy professional production worthy of acclaim. In 2004 the band would suffer from the dreaded Axl-Slash Disease whereby a member simply couldn't get along and Burst ... well ... 'burst' with Fiorino going on to form his own act Hell Bent in 2004.

Footnote: Do not confuse this Burst with the same named acts from New Caledonia, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland or France.
