ryst The Conqueror's debut eponymous EP received little notice in 1990, it was a mysterious album that no one seemed to know much about. Formed back in 1987 by brothers and ex-Misfits men bassist Jerry Only and guitarist Doyle, they went about to hire Yngwie Malmsteen vocalist Jeff Scott Soto to sing for them, but due to his contractual obligations with Malmsteen he was billed as Kryst The Conqueror himself), along with The Murp on drums. An entire album, Deliver Us From Evil, was then recorded featuring music that was neither punky nor reminiscent of Malmsteen's work, but for some reason the album was not released and instead only 5 of the tracks emerged as the aforementioned EP. Though they never played live and in essence were a band in name only, Kryst The Conqueror survived until the mid-nineties, when the two brothers went back to the reformed Misfits.
