R

aging Storm formed in 1997 with Chris Mossalos (guitars) and Harry Boudamour (bass). It would take several line-up changes, especially with the drummer position, not to mention some problems with military obligations before the act settled on a stable membership. When the dragons were slain, the band recruited 3 more members in the form of George Vassaras (drums), Dimitris Delis (guitar) and George Drimilis (vocals) to play epic Power Metal paying honor to the metal bands of the 1980s.

Their first live appearance was October 2000 at the AN club sharing the stage with Airged Lamh and Inner Wish. More gigs followed with bands like Dream Weaver, Battleroar, Violet Vortex, Reflection, Primal Fear, Anvil and Brocas Helm.  During this time they also managed to release a set of demos in the form of Rehearsal Tape (2000), Promo (2001) and Sailing For Glory Under The ... (2001).

In the fall of 2001 they signed a deal with 'Metalfighters' to release their debut self-titled recording in April of 2002.

They then returned to the studio to record 5 new tracks, as well as covers of Black Machine (Cirith Ungol), Warriors Ride On The Chariots (Metalucifer) and Sortilege (Sortilege).  But it would be November of 2002 that they recorded 2 new songs for their Swords Of Doom 7" single released on 'Eat Metal Records'.
