Morbid Pain

orbid Pain was created in early November 1995 in Yamachiche, Quebec with guitarist and vocalist Patrick Baribeau (a.k.a. Kadath), bassist and vocalist Eric Blais, Jacques Arvisais (keyboards) and Marc Sirois (drums; who came in early February 1996). For the first three years they played their indie brand of Death Metal at local venues in Yamachiche, Louiseville, Fortierville, Sherbrooke, St-Paulin, Ste-Sophie-de-Lévrard and Montreal; the most noted being their yearly Halloween ritual that occurred for over 8 years, organized by Joël Doucet(of Maledivine). They played with New York's Suffocation at "Le Maquisart" in Trois-Rivières on March 30th 1998. On August 14th 1999, they entered the Peter Pan Studio in Montreal for a session. They came out with their first CD Spirit of Evil (2000). Featuring 6 tracks and a running time of 30:31 it boasted a solid effort at developing mainstream Death Metal.

Guitarist and vocalist Patrick Baribeau officially left the band on March 17th 2001, for personal reasons. Frederic Germain and Eric Thibault took over the guitar slots. Shortly after, they played with Cephalic Carnage, Neuraxis and Horfixion on July 2nd 2001 over 4 shows, once again at the Jean-Francois Houle organized event at "Le Maquisart" in Trois-Rivières. More recently they were featured at the Trois-Rivieres Metalfest featuring Martyr, Decayed Remains, Neuraxis, Blinded By Faith and many more on Friday November 30th 2001; and the Montreal Deathfest on August 5th 2001 thattfeatured acts like Monstrosity, Deeds of Flesh, Pyaemia and Agony.

In December 2004, they completed their recording of a split CD with Difamation, contributing a total of 4 tracks, and released it in 2005. As of the time of publishing they continue to flog their indie sound.
