Prime Time

Prime Time is a Progressive Metal band from Koge, Denmark and operated 1998-present.

P

rime Time started in the late 1990s by featuring ex-Narita, Royal Hunt and Elegy members Eduard Hovinga (ex-Elegy; vocals), Henrik Poulsen (ex-Narita; guitar), Tonni Rahm (ex-Royal Hunt; guitar), Karsten Lagermann (ex-Narita; bass) and Flemming Olsen (ex-Narita; drums). By the time Prime Time's third release was ready they were without a record label (but were signed soon after the demo's release).

The recording of their third release was difficult as Eduard Hovinga (vocals) lived in Holland while the rest were from Denmark. Prime Time's debut 2000 demo lacked special effects and was raw, but the six tracks proved their musical worthiness and professionalism. Pop and melodic Rock was the order of the day. There was a problem with the last track, as while on their commute from Holland to Denmark, they discovered the tape containing the vocals was missing and so it was recorded without them to be re-issued with them again later.
