Lapse of Irony
In the fall of 2002, long-time friends and guitarists Justin Gersey and Chip Franz decided to form a female-fronted atmospheric Rock band. Bethany Franz (vocals) responded to a local Internet want ad in December and "tried out", immediately impressing the other two. After an extensive search for a drummer, Matt Turkington was discovered in spring of 2003 and the group began to write music as a four-piece resulting in their debut three-song demo in the fall of 2003. Still lacking a bassist, another exhausting member search took place. Bob Bryant (ex-Summer Dying) answered the call to complete the line-up. The group then began playing local shows and g aining a reputation as something unique and exciting. In the winter of 2003-04. Writing then commenced there-after resulting in Between Dreams and Dread EP in the spring of 2004 under the influence of: The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, Theatre of Tragedy, Opeth, Katatonia, and Paradise Lost.
In the summer of 2004, Gersey decided to step down as guitarist. Once again, another long search ensued and Angelino Wood (ex-Estun-Bah) joined the group. Rich van Leeuwen (ex-Imperiled Earth; drums) joined the act in early 2005 replacing former member Bryant. Deciding to pursue a full-time keyboard player, Winter Wood was recruitedin spring of that same year. But it was too little too late for the act for in 2006 they called it quits.
