The Guilty Parties
ailing from Riverside, CA, The Guilty Parties, founded by members Josh Franklin (Tenor Sax/Vocals), James Baylor, and John Martinez (Bari Sax) in the Fall of 2002, started their career of playing shows in January of 2003. From Martin Luther King Jr. holiday parades, to parties and small clubs or coffee shops, and renowned venues such as The Whiskey Au Go Go, the Showcase Theatre, The Knitting Factory, Chain Reaction, the Allen Theatre, their hard work brought them from a garage band gradually up to headlining and selling out large show events at world renowned venues such as BB King's Blues Club in LA. Bands they shared the stage with include Vood oo Glowskulls, the Skeletones, The Suicide Machines, Buck-O-Nine, The Know How, Bullets To Broadway, the Debonaires, Fishbone, the Aggrolites, Chris Murray, The Know How, I voted for Kodos, the Independents, the Forces of Evil, Lost City Angels, Starpool, and Change Up (from Japan).
Traditionally The Guilty Parties play a very wide range of musical styles incorporating many musical influences. From smooth reggae, to punk Rock, to third wave and traditional ska, to funk, to indie rock, jazz, hip hop, etc, the Guilty Parties like to taste good for every occasion. The instrumentation is very unique and includes a large 5-piece horn section, 2 guitars, a drummer, bassist, and two singers. With the experience of putting on well over a few hundred shows shows, The Guilty Parties know how to get a crowd going, which earned them an ever-growing, faithful following. The membership now includes: Jeff Pap (guitar), Anthony Rondina (bass guitar), Matt Levesque (trumpet), Nick Barnes (drums) and J-Wildmin (guitar).
