3 Inches of Blood
Inches of Blood was formed by Jamie Hooper (vocals), Sunny Dhak (guitars) and Bobby Froese (Guitars), who were soon joined by brothers Rich Trawick (bass) and Geoff Trawick (drums). Cam Pipes (vocals) joined during the recordings of the demo EP, Sect of the White Worm (2001).
The Trawick brothers left soon after the band signed to 'Roadrunner Records' following the first album, Battlecry Under a Wintersun (2002). Sunny Dhak and Bobby Froese both left not long after the recording of Advance and Vanquish (2004) because of their commitment to a business that they started; Kevin Keegan and Justin Hagberg (both guitars) replaced them respectively; the pair had been considered before Clark and Hagberg joined, but never actually performed with the band.
Alexei Rodriguez (Drums) was fired in November 2007, so Joey Jordison (of Slipknot) appeared in the video for Trial of Champions then produced and co-wrote the Fire Up the Blades (2007).
Jamie Hooper was forced to sit out the touring following Fire Up the Blades after damaging his vocals chords. Guitarist Justin Hagberg took up performing his vocal parts onstage. He was unable to recover from the injury and left in late 2008, and Hagberg took up the vocal role on a full-time basis. Shane Clark (Bass) joined in 2004, but also played Guitar after 2009.
There were then no founders left in 3 Inches of Blood, although Cam Pipes (who joined shortly after the founding) did feature on all their recordings.
Here Waits Thy Doom (2009), Long Live heavy metal (2012) and several live EPs followed.
