The 6-piece Metal band Jezebel from Argentina released their debut album only in 2001 after many years of effort since their founding in 1993. A Todo O Nada was later licensed to Goi Music' for its European edition. The album as apparently recorded in 1999 and was widely belived to not reflect the true sound of the band.
In December 2002, Cruz Del Sur Music' offered the band a deal and Jezabel entered the studio in February 2003 to start the long recording session for Legiones Del Sur, a 4 month project featuring Leandro Coronel (vocals), Nestor Rodriguez (guitars), Diego Del Rio (guitars), Omar Liste (keyboards), Gustavo Florio (bass; who had replaced Pablo Payero from their demo work A Todo O Nada) and Guillermo Saccomanno (drums). Referred to in style in the European/German tradition of Power Metal their sound was also categorized in the same style as Helloween or Gamma Ray. The presence of keyboards and guitar duets were another characteristic aspect of Legiones Del Sur, along with the band's election of singing in Spanish; commercially, however, this may have been not the wisest move. Nonetheless they press on.
