Chrome Shift (1999-2003): a Progressive Metal band from Aabenraa, Syddanmark, Denmark.
In January 1999 Otto Schütt (guitar) and Jens Christian Nielsen (bass) decided to form a band to play original compositions inspired by the progressive metal scene. Before long they teamed up with piano player Jakob Paulsen and drummer Poul Terkildsen and rehearsing began. The four played a year while seeking a singer until Rasmus Bak came about, and in February 2000 they recorded their demo Demo 2000 in the style of King's X, Pain Of Salvation and Dream Theater.

Chrome Shift completed their debut album Ripples In Time (2003), and soon after got a management deal with 'Intromental Management' to later sign a record deal with 'DVS' who re-issued the debut. The album ended off being a one-off for the act split soon after.
