This page will give your a brief FAQ on how to navigate the Diskery E-commerce system.

Finding music:
Featured items are displayed at the main page, by clicking on the picture or the tag under you will be taken to that featured product via express.

To conduct a more detailed search you type in what you want to look for in the prompt (blank box) in the centre top of the main menu screen. The search engine is intuitive so there is no need to tell it what you are looking for, just the search pattern will do. To successfully find something you will need to know at least one opf the following bits of information to tell it: Album UPC/EAN/ISBN code, Publisher (record company), band name, album title, band's home country or genre of music (ie: Rap, Death Metal, Fusion Jazz, etc.) The more exact your category the closer of a match Diskery will give. By clicking on the "Display Alphabetical" box you will get the list sorted from 0-9, A-Z order. If you are totally lost as to what to search for you can simply type "ALL" into the box and the entire catalog will be displayed (WARNING: it is a large list) If an item is not found you will be told so and given the option to search our US affiliate website GEMM instead. Be sure to check your spelling.

Buying & shipping music:
How to buy:

Normally you purchase our titles by selecting the "BUY IT" prompt located under the feature item on its own page. This button will take you to our E-commerce area to register your purchase, when you are done buying then select the "CHECKOUT" button. You will be prompted for your name and address (we have to know where to send your packages) and a credit card number if you were not asked previously.

If you prefer to send us a personal letter with your purchase including cash or a money order then you may do so also. Please PRINT clearly your order and be sure to include all taxes and shipping costs in your payment. WARNING: IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO SEND CASH VIA MAIL, do so at your own risk! Our address information is located in our contact page.

Shipping your purchase to you:

By default (standard) we ship your purchase in padded envelopes or boxes via the post office. Faster service is available via Federal Express, if you wish this faster service then please send an e-mail to our sales department via our contact page and notify our sales people who will tell the shipping department. Be aware that FedEx shipping can cost considerably more than the post office. Speak with our staff before or during the time of your purchase if you need information. Our standard shipping rates are based on the amount of your purchase. To put it into perspective, $30 is approximately 3 CDs.

All shipping rates are PER ITEM and in $US.

Except where restricted by the government we ship to just about all places on earth (except Asia -- see notes below).

Shipping normally takes between 4-6 weeks.

How to Pay:

The credit cards accepted are Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover. We also accept money orders and cash. If paying by money order or cash then please note that only Canadian and US dollars are accepted. Please make checks payable to EMPEROR MULTIMEDIA (our parent company).

If you are purchasing large amounts of product discounts may be available to you, please talk to our staff.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY ORDERS FROM THE POST OFFICE - only financial institution checks are allowed. DO NOT SEND CANADIAN $100 bills, they are no longer accepted here.

Pricing Calculations:

At Diskery we charge the price that is calculated and do not round the price up to make it match to .95 or .99 unless the calculation just happened to arrive there. We believe this to be unfair to the consumer. The prices are non-negotiable, what you see is what you pay.

Except where your shipment is damaged, all sales are final. Please see our dedicated page on returns.

Taxes:

Sorry but we are not going to lie to customs officials. All packaging is properly marked with its contents and costs. You are responsible for any importation taxes if they apply. If outside Canada, no VAT is charged. There are NO "handling fees" charged by Diskery, all such costs are covered in our shipping table above.

For residents of Canada: GST and PST are applied to all purchases made at Diskery.
GST = 5%
PST = 7%
PST only applies to those buying from within Ontario. For purposes of our e-commerce provider, your PST is covered as a prt of your shipping costs and will be separatred out on your invoice - no need to add 7%. The GST will be added automatically to your credit card bill from the start.

Hours of Operation:
The Diskery web site is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The people, however, are a different matter. The regular hours of operation are 9AM-5PM Eastern Time Monday to Friday except for the following holidays:

• On holidays which fall on a weekend then the following Monday is taken. The Diskery is closed every Saturday and Sunday. All days marked as Partial are corporate, not local or national holidays and The Diskery only partially closes down (shipping/Receiving operates only). All days marked as Observed are optional holidays but are not taken by The Diskery staff. Days listed as "First Monday/Friday" are days in which the holiday is observed on the first occurrence of the specified day and is not calendar fixed. All other days listed above are statutory holidays, which means the company must close by act of local law and there is no business conducted.
• Affiliated retailers may have different times of operation.
