Brief Biography & Description:

This is Jackson's second nationally released CD. Personal Jesus was produced by two major label producers and features two members of Suzanne Vega's band on four songs, not to mention Grammy nominated producer Scott Mathews on select tracks. Jackson is an ASCAP award winning singer, songwiter and musician from Westchester County, NY. USA. His music has been heard on the Internet, trade CD samplers and on United Airlines.

This solo effort by Robert Jackson is a hip and Rocking CD that mixes Pop with a Hard Rock beat. The songs express feelings that probably most of us feel from time to time, the title track (track 1: Personal Jesus) especially. The almost Punk-like track 3: Dead Yuppies On The Highway follows this theme and Track 8: Alice Linz, although one could argue a little silly, is nontheless a great track too! In short, this CD is a great effort and very professionally done -- GET IT!

The video for Personal Jesus was syndicated nationally in the USA on UPN Paramount, Comcast and America One Networks and seen on such shows as Top 40 videos as well as being aired on Australian TV. Jackson's music has been called left of center mainstream rock with some hard rock and alternative influences as well as AOR(album oriented rock) and AAA rock(album adult alternative). Jackson likes to tell a story in his music and songwriting comes first to him, and a lot of his lyrics are socially and politically relevant. Jackson endorses Aria Pro 2 bass guitars.
